Ingredients:

  • 240 ml unsweetened applesauce

  • 130 g rolled oats

  • 1 egg

  • 120 g oat flour (or grind rolled oats into flour)

  • 30 g grated carrot or apple (optional for added flavour)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven: Heat your oven to 180°C (fan 160°C) or Gas Mark 4, and line a baking tray with baking parchment.

  2. Combine Ingredients: In a mixing bowl, combine the applesauce, rolled oats, and egg. Gradually add the oat flour until a dough forms. If using grated carrot or apple, stir it in.

  3. Roll and Shape: Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to about 6 mm thick. Use a biscuit cutter for shapes, or simply cut into squares.

  4. Bake: Place the biscuits on the baking tray and bake for 20–25 minutes, or until they’re golden and firm.

  5. Cool and Store: Allow the biscuits to cool completely before serving. Store in an airtight container for up to a week.

These homemade biscuits are a delicious, healthy treat to keep your dog happy and tail-wagging!
